Cheers, residents! We love our neighborhood in Kent, WA, and we love taking opportunities to highlight all of the amazing things that can be found in and around our area. Today, we wanted to take some time to share some of our favorite breweries and beer halls in and around Kent, so you have plenty of options the next time you’re feeling thirsty and want a new spot to try out, even from the comfort of your home at Bower Village.
Half Lion Public House is currently open for takeout and delivery, as well as outdoor dining with views of the Riverbend Golf Complex. They provide themselves on serving “real beer”, and have a focus on a sort of rugged aesthetic sensibility that they think matches with their brews. The public house serves beer, cocktails, and a variety of food, from meals like their house-made pizza, burgers, and baked mac and cheese, to bar snacks like quesadillas, chicken wings, and deep fried pickles. They’re a great brewery for a casual night.
Four Horsemen Brewery describes themselves as a “local neighborhood brewery”, and they have plenty of neighborhood flair! Their beer is made with Washington-grown ingredients, to really emphasize the local flavor, and they serve beers on tap as well as an array of snacky bites. Their home-style comfort food snack menu includes homemade chili and cornbread, pretzels with beer cheese, Philly cheesesteaks, and more. They also have takeout, in case you want to grab an assortment of snacks and drinks and bring them on back home!
Airways Brewing has a tap room and brewery right here in Kent. They brew all their beers right in-house, and the beer is truly the highlight of the menu, as well as the majority of what they serve! However, if you’re feeling snacky, you won’t go hungry; they serve complimentary pretzels, sell charcuterie packs and chips, and allow visitors to bring their own food in, including from several nearby restaurants that do takeout. If the drinks are your focus, Airways Brewing has you covered!
